Carl Delfeld has three decades of experience as a speaker, journalist, author, senior executive and diplomat in Asia & emerging markets.
Carl was a international banker in London and Tokyo with Bank Boston before joining Robert W. Baird & Company as Director of Asia. After serving as Asia advisor with the U.S. Treasury and U.S. Congress, he was appointed by Treasury Secretary Brady to represent America member on the executive board of directors and acting U.S. Ambassador to the Asian Development Bank in Manila.
Carl was a co-founder of Pacifica Group Holdings, chairman of the Hong Kong Pension Forum and a member of the U.S. National Committee on Pacific Economic Cooperation. He was a Forbes Asia columnist, a reporter for the Far Eastern Economic Review and was an Asia & emerging equity strategist with UBS. Carl is a graduate of the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University with study and research at Sophia University and Keio University in Tokyo as well as at Harvard University’s Asia Center and is president of the Seward Center for Economic Diplomacy.
